Trillium House came to be when our community saw that many of our neighbors, friends, and families needed a welcoming and comfortable home during their hospice journey. Dr. Dan Mazzuchi, a long-time hospice volunteer, shared this need far and wide in a decade-long labor of love. Dan is the catalyst who encouraged all of us to take Trillium House from dream to reality. We are grateful for his vision, determination, humor, and caring heart.
On August 10, 2023, Dr. Mazzuchi passed away at Trillium House, surrounded by his wife, family, and friends, following a battle with cancer. It was in this space he envisioned and helped realize that he spent his final moments cherishing time with those he loved.
In honor of his life’s work, the Trillium House Board of Directors named its dedicated care fund, supporting those facing financial hardship in need of Trillium care and support, in honor of their beloved founder. On August 25, 2023, The Dan Mazzuchi Care Fund was official recognized.
Continued funding for The Dan Mazzuchi Care Fund is made possible through individual, group, and corporate donations and grants. Annual gifts and applications work to ensure that The Dan Mazzuchi Care Fund remains funded and that no one is turned away due to financial hardship.
Individuals or organizations wishing to make a financial donation can donate online or contact Melissa Cavill, Trillium House executive director, to discuss how best to make their gift.
